XTrend Is Latest CySEC-Regulated Broker to Back Argentina’s Football Team

XTrend, the
contracts for difference (CFDs) broker regulated in Cyprus, is eyeing the
Southeast Asian market. The online trading provider announced today (Tuesday)
that it has secured a deal as the Regional Sponsor of the Argentine national
football team in Malaysia, Vietnam and Singapore. The deal extends to two
other jurisdictions in East Asia: Hong Kong and Taiwan.

XTrend Sponsors Argentina’s Football Team

Argentina’s
national team won the 2022 FIFA World Cup played by 32 national teams across
five cities in Qatar between November 20-December 18, 2022. The Argentine Football Association (AFA) believes that the collaboration will enable it
“to bring Argentia superstars like Lionel Messi, Angel Di Maria, Julián
Alvarez, Emi Martinez closer to the audience.”

In a joint
statement, XTrend and the AFA explained that,
as part of the deal, they will join forces to create commercial and marketing
activities to “increase the synergy and power of their brands in the Southern
Asian market.” Speaking on
the deal, Michael Rezaie, the CEO of XTrend, noted that the partnership will enable
the brokerage to connect technology and innovation with a wider audience of
football enthusiasts in the region.

“We share
the same vision as the AFA, where we also want XTrend to be the standout
performer in financial services internationally,” Rezaie added. “We are
continuously enhancing our trading platform to help traders reach new heights
within their professional trading journey.”

Previously,
T1Markets and TradeATF, brokerages regulated by
the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC), entered into digital
sports sponsorship arrangements with the AFA.

XTrend
Expands Sports Presence

XTrend’s
new collaboration with the AFA comes nearly a year after the online trading
platform emerged as a sponsor of
ACF Fiorentina
, an
Italian Serie A football club. The partnership provided the firm’s trading
platforms XTrend and XTrend Speed with global brand awareness through marketing
opportunities, including logo exposure on LED walls during matches and
interview backdrops.

Meanwhile,
Binance last year entered into a five-year sponsorship
deal
with the
AFA, Finance Magnates reported. The deal represents
the first sponsorship of a national team by the world’s largest cryptocurrency
exchange.
